When you click Attach File in Outlook and browse to a file on the SmartVault Drive, the attachment may not appear, or Outlook may freeze. The fix is to add SmartVault's network address to Windows Trusted Sites.
Why This Issue Occurs
Outlook blocks files from network paths it doesn't trust.
SmartVault Drive uses the path file: //docs.smartvault.com@ssl. If that path isn't added to Windows > Trusted Sites, Outlook may stop the attachment and freeze. Adding the path to Trusted Sites indicates to Outlook that it's safe, allowing the file to attach.
Quick Work-Around
Drag & drop the file from SmartVault Drive into the email, then apply the permanent fix below so the problem doesn't recur.
